Hematology is the medical specialty that focuses on the components of the blood (red and white blood cells, platelets), lymph, and hematopoietic organs that secrete them (bone marrow, lymph nodes, spleen), as well as the diseases related to them.

- Polyglobulia (excess of red blood cells)
- Anemia (deficiency of red blood cells)
- Leukemia (excess of white blood cells). This includes chronic lymphocytic leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and acute myeloblastic leukemia.
